4 Fatty Food That You Must Avoid

While saying “never and forever” is a phrase that is uttered more often than it is actually practiced, especially when it comes eliminating bad eating habits, there are some fatty foods that should be avoided at all costs.

If the objective on the list agenda is to eat healthier, these high-caloric, fat-filled foods items are risky business.

White Bread

White bread has minimal nutritional value and a lot of sugar in it. It also is loaded plentifully with empty calories, which means that it will not leave you feeling full for long either. So, if you can’t say no to bread, start slicing away at the loaves of whole wheat and whole grain.

Fried Foods

French fries, friend chicken, and doughnuts are three of the most-oft foods referred to in the dreaded fried-foods group. However, if the truth were to be told, it would be wise to abstain from eating most fried foods. The nutritional value is minimal; it is bad for your digestion, and it has higher cholesterol than foods that are baked or broiled.

Cream-Based Salad Dressing

Creamy salad dressings can greatly reduce the nutritional value of even the finest-made salads. All those fresh vegetables are devalued substantially when a salad is covered with a cream-based dressing instead of a healthy oil-based alternative.

High-Fructose Corn Syrup

This sweetener is ubiquitous; it shows up in soft drinks, processed foods, baked goods, and pasta sauces. While  research has been produced that offers evidence on the good and bad of consuming high-fructose corn syrup, we suggest erring on the side of caution and recommend that you avoid or minimize taking in any types of processed sugars.

Turn toward fresh fruits and berries for healthier dessert options. While drinking fruit juices is an alternative to soft drinks, keep in mind that many fruit juices also contain high-fructose corn syrup.

The best route is to drink more water. Try adding a slice of lemon or lime to add a little extra “something-something” to your diet.
